A 41 year old Stroud man caught growing cannabis behind his wardrobe had supplied some of the drug to friends, a court heard on Friday.
Gavin Stevens, of Brickrow, admitted cultivating and supplying cannabis and was sentenced at Gloucester Crown Court to do 100 hours of unpaid work. He was placed on a 15 months community order which includes 30 hours of rehabilitation activity.
Nick Fridd, prosecuting, said police went to Stevens’ home on June 24 last year and found 14 cannabis plants growing behind a wardrobe.
