Access to medical marijuana probably isn’t your most immediate thought when considering the negative impacts the government’s shutdown has on federal workers’ livelihood. But with 800,000 furloughed workers not getting paid anytime soon, one business in the cannabis industry wanted to help them out where they could—by giving them free weed., one of the largest online cannabis marketplaces which bills itself as the “Craigslist of weed,” will donate free cannabis to federal workers struggling to pay for their medical marijuana, as The Hill first reported.

“To any Federal Employee unable to pay for their medical cannabis due to the Government shutdown, BudTrader will donate to you the allowable, legal limit according to California adult use rules and regulations to help ease your suffering in this difficult time,” BudTrader wrote on the company’s Facebook account Monday.
